condition: good
make / manufacturer: Anheuser-Busch
size / dimensions: 20 x 20 x 13 1/2 inches
This very neat crate is quite large, approximately 20 inches square and 10 1/2 inches deep. The crate held 36 bottles.

Despite the small piece of wood missing from the top lid, the crate is in really nice shape, with all original hardware: hinges, the hammered half moon handle slots, and the latch.

Along with the great graphics, what stands out to me are the latches, which are designed to slightly lift when opening the lid.
The original locking latch looks like some kind of cotter pin design.

On the back side of the crate, an old paper label covers the “s” in “Anheuse,r” but I didn’t want to tamper with it. On the bottom are some carpet protectors used by the former own. They can be easily removed, but I’m leaving them in.

What’s really important, though, is that the crate is dated on both sides.

It’s a nice survivor from 110 years ago.
