Join us on April 26, 2025, for our monthly filmmaker mixer at Art 634. That's 634 N. Mechanic Street, on the grounds of Jackson's historic prison.
Join us from 12 Noon to approximately 4:00 PM for a gathering of filmmakers from all over the region’s south-central area.
Open to anyone interested in filmmaking from as far away as they wish to travel, this will be a big day for the filmmaking community
These mixers are designed to bring filmmakers from Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti/Saline to Kalamazoo, from Lansing to Michigan’s southern border.
Hosted in the original carriage factory of Michigan’s earliest state prison, Art 634, a 25-year-old artist co-op, will provide the perfect backdrop for this exciting event. You’ll have the chance to explore the home of regularly scheduled art shows and artist workshops, all while rubbing elbows with the local filmmaking community.
Join filmmakers, actors, writers, and other creative minds for a four-hour mid-day focused on the people who share your interests in film and filmmaking. Whatever you do in film, this is a great opportunity to meet other local creators and spark new collaborations.
Come hang out, and chill with new creatives, and see who you might end up collaborating with next.
Hosted by David W. King of MMW.news, with Andrea of Art 634
