Most are adjustable to fit various sized box springs or foundations, adjustable widths indexed for twin, twin XL, full (double), and Queen.
These must be used with a foundation or box spring. They will not support a foam mattress or regular mattress without the use of a foundation or box spring. I also have used box springs and mattresses.
They make a space under the bed of 5" (no wheels) or 7.5" (with wheels).
Will not fit King or California King sized beds.
For reference, here are the standard mattress sizes:
Twin: 38" wide x 75" long.
Twin XL: 38" wide x 80" long.
Full (Double): 54" wide x 75" long.
Queen: 60" wide x 80" long.
King: 76" wide x 80" long.
California King: 72" wide x 84" long.
