Electric Guitar - Fender Thinline Telecaster copy.
This guitar plays great and has a very cool sound. I’ve done some modifications... It’s a Glarry body, with an upgraded maple neck. I replaced the original humbucking pickup with a P-90 pickup in the neck position. I upgraded the tuners/machine heads and they are very good. I swapped out the original bridge for the one currently on the guitar. I even put a new cap on the 3-way switch. It currently has no pick guard on it, long story short I learned to put the pick guard back on before putting the new neck on, but out of that I figured out a way to have a humbucker in the guitar without the pickguard, which I would be happy to show you if you like how it looks without the pickguard and want the humbucker in it. I've included a picture of it when I first got it, and what it could look like again. It is a very lightweight guitar, around 5-6 lbs.
Included with the guitar are:
Original white pickguard
Original humbucking pickup for the neck position
Original neck (the original neck is pretty thick and the guitar came with heavy gauge strings {13-56} - easy to swap necks and put heavy strings on it for a heavier sound if you end up wanting to do that.)
Original “Top Hat” 3-way switch cap.
Original tuners/machine heads.
Original bridge
Shims (I never did put these in) for the neck.
Stickers can come off, if any of them give you trouble just warm them slightly with a blow dryer.
So if you’re interested in tinkering with a guitar that can make very versatile sounds, this is the guitar for you. It plays and sounds great as-is and you could leave it alone and have a bunch of extra parts for a guitar project.
Should we meet, I’d be happy to bring along a little battery powered amp so you can see that everything is in working order.
